Great fish and chips, came in late on Thursday night & only wanted a portion of chips just as they were clearing up a lot of places would have said they were closed but the man was kind and friendly and cooked me a fresh portion of chips. They were great. I then came back tonight on Saturday and had chips and batter sausage and my partner had a large cod. Everything was cooked to order fresh and the size of the cod was enormous. Great value for money and lovely fresh food. The lady was nice and friendly. Thank you Golden Plaice.
I ordered 2 small cods, 2 small chips, a jumbo sausage and mushy peas. Came to just under £20 and were big portions. Very good quality. The man behind the counter asked me if I wouldnt mind waiting 5 minutes so they could fry me 2 fresh cods and gave the kids fortune cookies while we waited. They currently only accept cash. Me and the kids couldn't eat it all. Highly recommended!!!
Have fish and chips from here maybe once a month, and always impressed by the quality of the fish. Always cooked while you wait and the skin is removed (something I loath). Chips are fairly decent too so all in all, not bad value for money! p.s. they only take cash!
